The Yard Creative is looking for a Junior Strategist to join our growing team and help to continue delivering
excellent strategic work and recommendations. You will report to the Head of Strategy and support the
delivery of evidential-led strategy for our clients, backed by solid research, trends, insights and consumer
behaviours mixed with an ability to think differently and innovate past the obvious and expected. You will
also be responsible for leading the research and strategy on smaller projects.


You will be willing to work across multiple projects with big brands, entrepreneurs and start-ups, working in all
sectors including lifestyle and consumer brands, FMCG, fin-tech, property, and retail. You will be working
alongside an integrated team of creatives who specialise in brand, digital and 3D design during the lifespan of
a project.


Your daily duties will include:

• To carry out desk research and analyse outputs of several types of research inc: benchmarking and
competitors, macro and micro societal, behavioural, and cultural insights and trends)
• Identify interesting patterns that combine diverse references to turn observations into insights
• Conduct competitive and category audits thoroughly, and tell what cultural truths might be relevant
to the project
• Present your thinking and analysis to the team to inform their creative work
• Utilise social listening software (e.g. Meltwater) to translate digital chatter into actionable insights for
clients
• Social media analysis of brand and user-generated content
• Help design and facilitate creative workshops which shape brand strategies and fieldwork activities
• Collaborate with other team members to flawlessly execute project deliverables
• Recording of learnings, insights, notes and actions from client meetings and research calls/activities
• Support and create content for TYC channels (Newsletters, LinkedIn, Instagram & Website)


The ideal person:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a strategic &/or creatively focused agency
• Curious about understanding people, brands and culture
• Conducts qualitative research (e.g. stakeholder and consumer interviews, focus groups)
• Crafts consumer online surveys
• Contributes to the creation of brand strategy and recommendations: brand positioning, purpose,
pillars, values, mission
• Enjoys turning qualitative (i.e. interviews) and quantitative data (data) into arguments
• Can communicate clearly, and add value to meetings, calls and presentations when comfortable and
prepared
• Loves all things digital/social
• Enjoys collaborating with teams to execute work
• Conscientious with their work, adhering to processes, placing emphasis on meeting deadlines, and
ensuring the details are right
• Delivers with intent by being organised, making plans and prioritising tasks

trends, and running specific research projects that shape strategies for our clients and brands

Qualifications required:

• 2:1 or higher Bachelor's Degree
